Painting
I was a bit skeptical to this exposition, under prejudice: it could not overcome the provincialism of our small suburb of Prague. In spite of that I suggested to my family, let us go to a walk to recently repaired castle Chvaly, Horni Pocernice, Prague 9. The reality was opposite. On the beginning the permanent exhibition of paintings and reconstructed atelier of the Czech painter of the last century Ludmila Jirincova. She was extraordinary interesting women who tried to live truly according her felling. I like the way.
We went through expositions (for one of them I will return to the end of the article), the newly reconstructed halls interiors and exteriors of the castle, from them I like the mostly the atrium. It is in the combination of modern glass doors elements with the historical basement with futuristic tent open air roof above. It looks like hyper modern square Potzdamer Platz in Berlin, Germany.
On the conclusion we were interested, mostly our small daughter, by the fairy elf exhibition. I was probably the mostly charmed by the forest like parfume from pine wood which was used as a background for figures of fairys, elfs and witchess. Well, nice, but why am I writing the story?
Because between we visited an exhibition of pictures by the Czech painter Jarmila Kralova with her King´s colorful squares … We sat in the middle of the hall on a bench and looked at the paintings. “Which one would you like the most?” my wife Jana asks me. Continuously I calm down myself and my eies still turn to a smaller yellow square with the orange center, it attracts me some how the most. Even I am rather rationally thinking type.
“I do like mostly the yellow orange one,” interupts my thinking my wife. Aha we are in full harmony. A guide book about the description of the painting lies there with the explanation of colors impact to human psycho and character. The our square has number 27 with description “I like to break borders and also I like developing and creating”. I agree with it and Jana votes for it too. The other colors did not match us too much and nor the description neither. We sit under the painting a bit more and the idea to buy the yellow orange one to our home occurs me. It costs 2500 CZK (100 EUR), it is not little. On the way home I suggested it to my wife, she is not very keen on the idea firstly. But in the end we returned the other day to buy the painting.
Now it hangs in our living room, we think about how to lighten it and we are happy we have the first our marriage painting. And then I bought via Internet the painter´s guide book “King´s colorful squares” and I am going to study deeply into secret of “power and beauty of colors”. And learns that Jarmila Kralova, the woman painter of our century, tries also live fully interesting live. Advertisement for Chvaly castle? Thanks, we like it a lot, you do there apparently very good job …
