Is the new Opencard in Prague easy?

Prague municipal transportation launched new chip card for traveling and other services. It is the only method one can use for buying one year ticket. I entered to the process of application of the card and learned that it not easy at all. Several weeks before end of the year there were long queues in front of desks on metro stations where people could apply for the card. The entire process took me about 4 and half hour of clear time in several steps, several personal visits of transport office, photographer, post office and metro station for card activation in some electronic device called validator. I have got it in the and, in spite of many other people I did not wait luckily in any queue.
The price for one year ticket is 4750 CZK per year. So if you travel in minimum 8 days in month and more, it is effective.
The instruction are available on site opencard.praha.eu in English.

So I met a controller for the first time in my way via train to Prague center and the card worked ok, was valid

Tak jsem byl poprvé kontrolován průvodčím ve vlaku při cestě do centra Prahy a karta fungovala, byla platná
