Ice skating in Czech
Ice skating is quite popular in Czech Republic. Any when the frosts come, people take out ice skates and hockey sticks and almost every pond is full of folks. May be just there for Czechs are the nation of hockey star Jaromir Jagr.
Well in spite of warning news in media about some fatal accidents after hazardous skating on some Czech lakes, we set out to the walk to our village’s (Prague suburb) pond yesterday and met there some friends and other crowds. Not only children but also adults and parents with baby-pram. The ice seemed thick enough after a week of frosts around - 6 degrees of Celsius (and some places reported below -20 degrees).
